BREAKING: Manila City Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan warns businessmen who exploit buyers of face masks despite the ash fall caused by the Taal Volcanic eruption.

His office has received complaints that the price of N95 Masks in various markets in Manila has been rising. From P25 to P30, a piece of the N95 Mask was worth P200.

Lacuna-Pangan has commissioned the Manila Bureau of Permits and the Manila Licenses Office to conduct inspections on businesses selling N95 Mask.

“Let’s not use this time to take advantage. Remember, it’s dangerous to their health,” Lacuna-Pangan said.

“I don’t want to see an asthma patient run in the hospital just because she can’t find or buy a mask,” he added.
